Adelaide Turpin is a Medical Massage Therapist in Bronx, NY. She has been in this industry for three years and falls more and more in love with it every day.
Adelaide’s interest for massage started at a very early age due to her own diagnosis of scoliosis at 9 years old. She and her siblings received various alternative treatments for their condition.
After years of treatment, it became very intuitive for her to feel muscle tension and to work on it herself. She began trying different techniques on her siblings for fun and found that she was getting good results, and that she had a natural talent for it.
After highschool, she started looking at many colleges for Massage Therapy and found that New York State had the highest level of required hours of education and training for Massage Therapy in the United States.
So within a few months, she made plans to move to NYC and started school at the New York College of Health Professions in Manahattan.
Throughout her years of education and training, she dove deeper into individualized treatments and specialized in learning the methods needed to treat all types of pain. She graduated in August 2020 with an Associates Degree in Occupational Therapy, specialized in Massage Therapy.
Even after graduating, she continues to educate herself on new techniques and takes classes on treating new conditions.
